Kick-off the Summer with us!

We're kicking off Summer @ RPL, our annual summer learning program, with not one, but two special programs!

Pre-schoolers can join us for a special performance by the library's favorite performer, Mr. David C. Perry! Sing, dance, and laugh with us and pick up information about our programs and the summer reading game!

Families are invited back for our Summer Kick-off Ice Cream party in the evening! Learn about all the fun things we have going on this summer so you can "chill" with us all season long!

Babies Need Words

Just a reminder: those songs that your parent sang to you still work on your kids! Bust out an old tune or nursery rhyme and sing it with your baby!

Reading and Winning!

Here are our Penguin Challenge winners! These tweens spent time reading with us after school during the winter! Ready to read during the summer? Our big program "Summer @ RPL" is only a few weeks away! Join us for our kick-off on June 9 at 4 pm!

 

Author Visit with Micha Archer!

The Children's Library was lucky enough to celebrate the state library's "One Book, Every Young Child" with a special visit from Micha Archer, the author and illustrator of "Daniel Finds a Poem."

Micha shared with students from Tyson-Schoener how she creates collages for her artwork. She even made them an owl collage to take back to school with them!

Ready to get Messy? Join us for a our next Messy Play on Saturday, May 13 at 12:30 pm.

Pre-school Storytime!

Join us for our last batch of pre-school storytimes in May. Join us every Monday at 10:30 am for stories, songs, and fun activities. As part of PA Forward's Basic Literacy standard, these storytimes help teach your child pre-literacy skills and support a love of reading!
